"Save the Young" is a true epic saga and diary account of the Spanish expedition to rescue from coastal Indians the last remaining young French survivors of the Indian massacre at Fort St. Louis on the bend of the central Texas Coast. The account is taken from the Spanish manuscript of Captain Francisco Martinez's 1691 diary account of the expedition. An appendix includes the Spanish version of the manuscript.
