The historical narrative covers the life of Charles Ferdinand Lincke who immigrated to Texas in 1858 at the age of 15. In 1887, the rest of the Lincke Family, Charles' father, mother and siblings, joined him in Texas and settled in Austin County, Texas. After his marriage in 1886, Charles and his family lived in Austin County, Lavaca County, DeWitt County finally settling in Gonzales County, Texas in 1910.
